Take a Deep Breath!

Setting out to become a doctor as an undergraduate student can be very overwhelming. Right from the start you are told that getting into med school is basically impossible and that roughly only 43% of applicants are accepted. Then, everyone starts freaking you out with the fact that you have to do volunteering, shadowing, research, community service, internships, leadership positions in a medical organization, etc.

Everything about becoming a doctor is overwhelming. However, you have to keep in mind that if you are already stressing out during your undergraduate years, you won't make it through the deadly years in med school. So just take it one day at a time and take a deep breath!
